renewal. Founded in India in 1937 A.D.(1994 B.S.), Brahma Kumaris has spread to over 140 countries on all continents and has had an extensive impact in many sectors as an international NGO. However, real commitment of the organization is to help individuals transform their perspective of the world from material to spiritual. It supports the cultivation of a deep collective consciousness of peace and of the individual dignity of each soul.
This spiritual organization is actively involved in spiritual services to the humanity revealing knowledge on spirituality and teaching the method of Rajyoga meditation. It empowers person to identify one’s true inner-self, which helps to develop one’s personality accordingly.

Brahma Kumaris is the largest spiritual organization in the world led by women and an extra ordinary example of women empowerment. All Brahma Kumaris centers throughout the world are under the leadership of women. It was the founder, Prajapita Brahma Baba, who chose to put women in front from the very beginning, and it has set Brahma Kumaris apart on the stage of the world’s religions and spiritual organizations. For over 80 years their leadership has been characterized by steady courage, a capacity for forgiveness and a deep commitment to unity.
The humanly services of Brahma Kumaris are liked by a large section of the society irrespective of caste, creeds, nationality, geography, gender around the globe.
Although women hold the top administrative positions, the women who hold these positions have always made decisions in partnership with the men. It is a partnership and consensus model of leadership, based on respect, equality and humility.
